My name is Martin Donnelly.I live in London, England, and am 22 years old.
I have been practicing martial arts for around 12 years, i started roughly when I was 10 years old.
I first started training in Shotokan Karate, where i spent 2 years.
I then trained in Wing Chun for roughly 5 years.
After I left my wing chun school, I boxed for about a year, and dabbled in some other arts, without really commiting to anything.
In 2004 i think it was, i found Sifu Carruthers website.
Immediately I noticed Sifu Carruthers direct, no nonsense, approach, and felt this was for me.
I came to the forum regularly from then on, and over that time have made some great friends and seen the birth of the Online lessons.

The Online lessons have been the single most valuable tool for me personally, in my whole time studying martial arts.
I learnt more in the first 4 weeks of the Online lessons, than I did in 5 years practicing wing chun!
The old saying, quality, not quantity, explains it well.
I have since been up to Sifu Carruthers Basement School in Scotland on a couple of occasions, to train with him and his regular students at the school, who are all really nice guys, and very good martial artists.The online lessons have been the perfect medium for Sifu to relay his teachings to us, and I am very grateful to him and everyone involved in making the lessons, for their efforts.
